Who we are

Our URL is:

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

As visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data contained in the comment form, as well as the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help identify spam.

An anonymous string created from your email address (also called hash) may be delivered to the Gravatar service to check if you are using it. Gravatar’s Privacy Policy is available here: Once your comment is approved, your profile photo is publicly visible in the context of your comment.

If you upload images to the site, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Site visitors can download and extract any location data from site images.

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to save your name, email address and cookie website. These are convenient for you so you don’t have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for a year.

If you visit our login page, a temporary cookie is set to determine if your browser is accepting cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you sign in, a number of cookies are set to save your login information and display options. Login cookies last two days, and screen options cookies take a year. If you select “Remember Me” your entry will take two weeks. If you sign out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

Content embedded from other sites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other sites behaves in the same way as if the visitor visited the other site.

These sites may collect information about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and track your interaction with the same embedded content, including monitoring your interaction with embedded content if you have an account and you are logged into this site.

Who we share your data with

How long we keep your data

If you leave a comment, its response and metadata are kept indefinitely. This is so that we can automatically detect and approve any follow-up notes instead of holding them as moderation.

For users who register on our site (if any), we also store the personal information they provide on their user profile. All users can view, edit or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Webmasters can also see and edit this information.

What rights do you have to your data

If you have an account on this site, or have any comments, you may request to have an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we delete all of our personal data. This does not include data that we are obligated to maintain for administrative, legal or security purposes.
